From the moment I met Henry I knew I was in a pair of experienced, thorough and kind hands. I was pretty anxious about my procedure but Henry gave me the confidence to crack on and get it done. Henry really does have the common and yet direct touch that so many in his profession lack. He's a top talent.

Dr Atkinson is nothing short of incredible. He has replaced both of my hips and both of my knees within 14 months. He has been incredibly clear throughout the process, sharing relevant information in an understandable way allowing me to make the decisions with his guidance and support. He is always available for follow up questions. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mr Atkinson replaced my Left knee on November 5th at the Cavell Hospital as an NHS patient. Mr Atkinson is an amazing surgeon. He puts you at ease and talked me through the pros and cons of the operation in both the consultation and on the day of the operation. He has a great sense of humour. As both of my knees have been replaced I will not be seeing Mr Atkinson until my hips need replacing. I will ask for him as he was excellent.

It is now three months since my total hip replacement and I now able to give a comprehensive and considered response. I was seen as an NHS patient at the Nuffield Aspen hospital in Highgate and was treated with care and concern by all members of the surgical, nursing and physio team involved in my surgery and post operative care and recovery. As regards my physical and mobilty recovery , friends who saw me in the first two weeks after my surgery were surprised and impressed by my mobility, as I was. In conclusion, should I require further orthopedic surgery, I would wholeheartedly recommend the team who treated me and hope that the surgeon would be Mr Henry Atkinson.

Mr Atkinson carried out a partial (duo compartmental, 2/3) knee replacement form me of my right knee in late January 2022. I undertook reasonable rehab and post op exercise, and was playing golf by mid March 2022 and back to the level I had previously been. I completed a number of long distance walking (day) events, so far 20 miles in October. There is very little swelling and no discomfort. I was more than satisfied with Mr Atkinsons care, attention knowledge.
